Andrew Johnson

Andrew Johnson is a Partner with Capital City Public Affairs. Prior to joining Capital City, Mr. Johnson was founder and principal at Policybright Solutions, a consulting and advisory services firm serving healthcare organizations of various size and type as they navigate public-sector and commercial markets. He leverages nearly two decades of experience leading and growing public- and private-sector organizations in the state of Georgia and the Southeast.

As a recognized healthcare consultant, Mr. Johnson has served large national health insurers, multi-state health systems and provider groups, venture capital, and numerous early-stage companies. His expertise spans Medicaid, Medicare, public employee health plans, certificate of need, regulatory challenges, venture advisement, and business development.

Prior to founding Policybright, Johnson served as senior vice president of enterprise and government at digital health company Sharecare, overseeing the company’s growth with state and local governments, Medicare, and Medicaid. He also served as deputy commissioner for the Georgia Department of Community Health, the agency administering Medicaid, the State Health Benefit Plan, Health Facility Regulation, and Georgia’s Certificate of Need program. His health policy and administration experience also include leadership roles with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, and the office of Congressman Phil Gingrey, MD.

Andrew serves on the boards of multiple, non-profit healthcare and community organizations. He is a native of Marietta, Georgia where he lives with his wife and their three children.
